About jack daniel’s
Say hello to Jack Daniel’s
You know the Tennessee Whiskey, but do you know the story of Jack Daniel’s? Founded by Jasper Newton Daniel, a.k.a. Jack, he introduced the world to Old No. 7, the signature charcoal-mellowed whiskey in the late 1800s. Jack leaves home to go to Reverend Dan Call’s family farm, where he learned from the preacher the art of whiskey making, alongside an enslaved man named Nathan “Nearest” Green. Jack would later hire Nearest as the head distiller at the Jack Daniel Distillery which officially established in 1866, making it the first registered distillery in the US. After passing away from a fatal toe injury, Jack leaves his land and distillery to his nephew, Lenn Motlow.
Lenn and his old brother, Jess, overcame the challenges of Prohibition, the Great Depression, and WWII. Jack Daniel’s soon played a pivotal role in the music industry during the 1960s. The brand became a well-known icon in the rock and roll era, caught the eye of the one and only Frank Sinatra, and became a notable key partner in the punk and metal age of the 1970s and 1980s.
Towards the turn of the millennium, Jack Danie’s enters an exciting new era of innovation, expanding the brand to the new tastes of Gentleman Jack, Single Barrel Selects, rye whiskeys, flavored whiskeys, the Bonded Series, and more.
